Join us this summer for a silent retreat with Dr. Cheryl Fraser, a well-respected Dharma teacher known for her accessible, heartfelt guidance. Whether you choose the weekend option or the full week-long immersion, this retreat offers a rich opportunity to deepen your practice in a supportive, contemplative setting.
We offer a range of flexible booking options — residential or commuter, weekend or full week — to help you tailor your retreat experience to your needs.
Throughout our time together, we’ll explore how focused attention and mindful awareness can help us uncover the clear, calm, awake mind that is already present. Instead of searching outside ourselves, we will learn to settle inward, reconnecting with peace, clarity, and joy.
Daily sessions will include sitting and walking meditation, Dharma talks, guided visualizations, and yoga as moving meditation. Practices will draw from Samatha (calm abiding), Vipassana (insight), and Mahamudra (open awareness).
We will also explore the seven supportive factors of the awake mind: Mindfulness, Curiosity, Energy, Rapture, Tranquility, Concentration, and Equanimity — cultivating strength and well-being from the inside out.
This retreat is best suited for students with previous silent retreat experience, though dedicated newcomers are welcome to attend if ready to fully engage.
The Tradition of Dana
In keeping with Buddhist tradition, Dr. Cheryl offers these teachings freely and receives no payment. Dana (generosity) is warmly welcomed to support her ongoing service. Dana offerings may be made in person during the retreat or sent by e-transfer to:
