Our theme for our first Vancouver Island "Sort Of"-DBRC will be, naturally, "island songs".

For those new to our events here is how it works: we get together, hang out, do some record shopping and socializing and everyone gets the opportunity to play one song that fits our theme. You have 90 seconds to intro your song before the needle (or laser) drops.
Bring your record, CD or cassette with you and Sound Heritage’s DJ will play your selected track. It’s as easy as that.

Jesse is coming over from Berlin for this, Tony has recently relocated to the island, and Stephen is hosting this cause he is also now an island resident. We're hoping a bunch of you will jump at the chance to come join us in Nanaimo, BC for this event.

Where? Sound Heritage, Nanaimo, BC
When? Tuesday, August 5 at 6pm.
Come early to shop — the store closes at 6pm and then we'll start record club.
Sound Heritage's in-house DJ will be spinning our selected tunes. And we will have pizza to snack on (please bring a cash donation to help cover the cost). The event will be BYOB 🍺 (yes, alcoholic drinks are permitted — and encouraged 😜).
I hope a bunch of regulars can come, and that we'll even get new members for DBRC.
