Barbera is a high-acidity, low-tannin red wine from Italy, known for its juicy, fruity flavors of cherry and strawberry, and its excellent food-friendliness. Originating in the Piedmont region, it's a versatile wine that can be enjoyed young or aged, and is also grown in other parts of the world, including California.
