Kajiado Education Expo – 2025
Theme: "Reimagining Education in the CBC Era: Empowering Learners Parents and Educators for a Changing World"
The Kajiado Education Expo 2025 is a premier county-level education showcase bringing together stakeholders from across Kenya’s education sector—including learners teachers school administrators parents education NGOs government officials and development partners. The expo aims to raise awareness and build capacity around the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) which many still find unclear or challenging to implement effectively.
Through exhibitions panel discussions training sessions and networking the expo will provide a platform for sharing innovations understanding CBC pathways and connecting institutions with communities.
Launch of the Leap Beyond the Manyatta Mentorship Program
A key highlight of the Expo will be the launch of the "Leap Beyond the Manyatta" mentorship initiative. This program is designed to empower youth from pastoralist communities particularly the Maasai by offering career guidance life skills and exposure to education and personal development opportunities beyond traditional settings.
The mentorship program targets secondary school students and aims to:
Challenge limiting cultural beliefs around education
Promote gender equality in schooling
Introduce modern career paths and entrepreneurship
Build self-confidence and leadership among youth
Together the Expo and mentorship launch seek to transform education access and mindset in Kajiado and beyond promoting a more inclusive empowered and future-ready generation.
