Good afternoon friends and chess players 😃 the next Friendly Chess tournament will be Saturday November 8th. Please read the information below if you want to sign up for the tournament.
Place: Regents Academy. 200 NE Stallings Dr. Nacogdoches
Date: Saturday November 8th.
Time: 11:00am to 4:00pm
Number of Players: 8 minimum, 30 maximum.
Fees: 10 dollars per player. 100% of fees will be used on trophies & prizes.
Please bring the cash on the day of the tournament.
Requirements: To know how to play chess.
Please if you have any flu like symptoms wait till next event.
Chess clocks will be used with 10 mins per player. On semifinals and finals each player will have 15 mins.
If you touch a piece you need to move that piece, and after you let go the piece it should stay there, unless is an illegal move then you can move it somewhere else. So don’t touch the piece until you are sure.
If there are not at least 8 juniors, they will play with the adults.
After around 8 games, the 4 adult players and the 4 junior players with more points and who reached those points the fastest will go to the semifinals.
Juniors 14,15 & 16 years old have the option of joining adults or juniors section.
Every won game will be 1 point, a draw half point and 0 points if you loose.
First & second places adult and junior will get a trophy, everyone else will get medals. Also a gift will be given randomly.
