We will be reading "So Late in the Day" by Clair Keegan.

It is a compact yet powerful story about loneliness, regret, and missed opportunities. The story follows Cathal, a civil servant in Dublin, as he reflects on his past relationship with a woman named Siobhán. Over the course of a single day, his thoughts unravel the ways in which his own attitudes and choices—especially regarding gender roles and emotional restraint—may have led to the loss of something meaningful.
