Alexander Gallant played one of Steeple Green's first ever shows in 2023 after releasing his debut album Waiting Tables Blues. His second album Rubber Monster Suit is out, so we had to have him back. New season, new songs. See you there.

Alexander Gallant is a folk singer-songwriter from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. In the tradition of A Singer With A Guitar, Alexander’s songs are simple, direct and have one foot firmly planted on the ground. Taking inspiration from the folk revival of the 1960’s, Alexander's music is a blend of open tuning style fingerpicking and percussive strumming paired with humorous and personal poetry. Alexander released his debut record, Waiting Tables Blues (2023) with Toronto independent label, Tibet Street Records. His sophomore record, Rubber Monster Suit (2025) is a collection of songs about living with sobriety, living in the modern political landscape, living with love, living with loss of love, aging, nostalgia, and some jokes. Ranging from lush jazz influenced cinematic soundscapes, to psych country, to classic folk acoustic guitar and voice — Rubber Monster Suit is an album inspired by the textures and storytelling of the 60s and 70s with a uniquely present tense spirit.
