Shannon McCue is a powerhouse vocalist whose voice blends the
soul of classic country with the grit of rootsy rock. From Trisha
Yearwood and Emmylou Harris to Brandi Carlile and CCR, Shannon
brings a fearless mix of emotion and energy to every song she
sings—always aiming to make her audience feel something.
She’s backed by The Harpeth River Boys—a seasoned set of
musicians who serve up a rich mix of country, classic rock, and
soulful curveballs with tight musicianship and just the right touch of
twang. Guitarist Dennis Lasater also takes the mic on occasion,
covering everything from Alan Jackson and George Strait to Sam
Cooke and Chuck Berry.
Originally from the Detroit area, Shannon now calls Columbia
home. Her bandmates hail from Texas, Ohio, and Illinois, and the
group rehearses in Murfreesboro and plays throughout Middle
Tennessee. When the mix is right—the crowd, the sound, the
groove—it’s more than a song. It’s a moment. And Shannon & The
Harpeth River Boys are all about those moments.
