Bloom Stage proudly announces the next show in its 2025 series, "Savor". In regular collaboration with Poetry in the Boro, this event expands to include Friendly City Books (Columbus, MS), inspired by their anthology from which our show borrows its name: Savor: Poems for the Tongue. Select poets from the anthology will join us to share their work, and Friendly City Books will be on hand with copies available for purchase.
This show, we celebrate food—the flavors, textures, and aromas that stir memory and awaken the senses—but we also invite you to consider all that sustains us: the people, places, and moments we linger over and relish.
Through poetry, story, music, and performance, Savor will explore the richness of life’s table—where we taste, remember, and gather close. We can’t wait to experience your interpretations of this theme.
The beautiful Walnut House provides an intimate setting for this quarterly event, creating a space for connection and community.
Located at 116 N Walnut Street (off the Square in downtown Murfreesboro), doors at 6:30 pm with libations and light refreshments, and the show starts at 7 pm.
The OPEN MIC segment throughout the show is welcoming submissions. Please email
