COURSE DIRECTOR AND LECTURER:
Teodoro Kalaw IV - he is one of the most senior fellows and an incumbent trustee of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).
Atty. Kalaw is also a professor of law at the Ateneo Law School, where he has been teaching corporate governance and intellectual property management since 2010.
He is primarily responsible for creating and developing ICD’s governance framework for family-owned or controlled corporations, and has counseled and taught both locally and internationally.
He is also a consultant of the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation.
He currently serves as an independent board director of a shipping and logistics firm Gothong Southern and is the only Filipino who is certified in both the Balanced Scorecard Strategic Performance Management process by the co-founders of Professors Norton and Kaplan of Harvard Business School and as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.
Atty. Kalaw’s five graduate degrees include the following:
— Master of Laws from Harvard Law School
— Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology
— Master of Studies in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge.
He is admitted to practice before the bars of the Philippines, New York State and the United States Supreme Court.
