Abstract:
Dr David Herrmann is a Group Leader at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research (Sydney, Australia) with a major focus on improving our understanding of pancreatic cancer progression, metastasis, and treatment resistance. Using genetically-engineered mouse and patient-derived xenograft models of pancreatic cancer combined with live imaging technologies, he assesses new anti-cancer treatments and treatment combinations in pancreatic cancer with the aim to improve outcomes in this deadly disease.
