The focus for this workshop is Gut Health.
Your morning starts with a Maia Movement session, which energises your gut health from within.
You will be refining how you sit, sleep and drive, to make these activities dynamic, expansive and healthier.
You will be observing your breath to gain an understanding of how your nervous system integrates with your musculoskeletal system, and why this affects your digestive system.
These simple changes will revitalise your digestive organs before you sit down to eat lunch!
A lite fermented lunch is available, Love Ya Heart Lentil Dahl, from one of my favourite fermentation recipe books.
After lunch we get shredding cabbage, a hands on Sauerkraut & Rejuvelac making, tasting and taking home.
I share my Sweet Sauerkraut recipe with you, and you will be making your own jar to take home and get to know, one downside, you will have to patiently wait (at least a week) before eating your own Sauerkraut.
One of my go to fermented creations is Rejuvelac, a fresh living probiotic rich drink made from sprouted grains. I love the wheat version, but I will have a gluten free option available too, this is quick, high in the B vitamins, and we make it super tasty with heaps of ginger!
You are asked to bring some basic household equipment, large and small sharp knives and chopping board, grater, large mixing bowl, 4 towels, yoga mat or picnic blanket (or both), belt or scarf.
You will get access to an online community portal, which will provide recipes, videos and audio files to refresh your memory from what you learn on the day.
This workshop is very hands on and you will leave having experienced your unique self to gain a real understanding of your nervous system & breath, how they integrate with your musculoskeletal system to impact your digestive system, and how you can refine these mundane activities (that take up a lot of each day) to release tensions and improve circulation.
How you sit on your drive home will have evolved, and you will arrive without the normal tensions that sitting and driving automatically and subconsciously activate.
