Tapas & Talk: Uncanny Shadows—Ghost Tales of the Magic City

Wraiths were said to harass travelers on turnpikes southeast of Muncie in the years before the Civil War. A poltergeist reportedly terrorized a family farm in northeast Center Township in 1890. Throughout that same decade, ghostly sightings spread across Delaware County—haunting theaters, factories, offices, and roadways. Drawing on deep archival research, local historian Chris Flook uncovers these chilling tales, revealing the Magic City’s long and eerie history of uncanny encounters and paranormal pranks. Guests will also enjoy a curated selection of delicious tapas and a complimentary drink, with additional beverages available at the cash bar.

Preregistration is strongly preferred; limited walk-in tickets may be available—please call ahead. This event is open to participants ages 21 and up.
