I TRIED SCUBA AT NASSAU on August 1st
We are excited to bring this opportunity for up to 25 participants to try SCUBA diving at Nassau Swim Club with a mini course that includes all of the gear you will need.
Course Description
Our certified instructor, from Tom Leaird's Underwater Service, will provide information about the world of SCUBA including: underwater environment, physics of pressure, breathing techniques, dealing with pressure on ears, and a brief description of what is involved in earning your SCUBA certification.
Once you are introduced to the world of SCUBA you will be introduced into the water. The instruction will ask that you take a short swim to ensure you are able to swim once you put on the gear. After you put on your gear you will swim around the pool with an instructor. During this time you will experience the weightless environment and breathing underwater.
DATE: Friday, August 1, 2025
TIME: 7 - 9 pm*
COST: $10 for each Nassau Member / $15 for each Nonmember
AGE REQUIREMENTS: Anyone 10 years old and up can try SCUBA @ Nassau.
SUPERVISION REQUIREMENTS: Participants 10-15 years old must have a guardian with them.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Participants must know how to swim before trying SCUBA
What to Bring: Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel! Don't worry, if you do not have a mask or fins they will be provided for you.

Payments
The price is $10 per member and $15 per nonmember. Payment due before the start of the event. Cash or check payments only.
*Nassau will close at 8 pm; only those people participating in I tried Scubawill be permitted to stay on the pool deck at that time.
