We are currently seeking Traffic Control Flaggers to join our team throughout the state of Indiana. Flaggers will safely guide traffic through our work zones using signs and hand signals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Discusses traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points with their superior.
- Distributes traffic control signs and markers along the site in a designated pattern.
- Directs traffic movement through the site, using signs, hand, and flag signals.
- Warns construction workers when an approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accidents and injury to workers.
- Informs drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
- Records the license number of traffic control violators.
- Gives hand marker to last driver in line up of one-way traffic for - Flagger at opposite end of site, signaling clearance for reverse flow of traffic.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and work outside in varying weather conditions
- Current driver’s license with a good driving record
- Current DOT physical or ability to obtain one
- Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year traffic control experience
