Important points to know:
1. The total number of spots is about 400.
2. 150 spots will be reserved until 21 September for non-Indian athletes ( = athletes who have neither Indian citizenship nor a permanent residence in India). That registration deadline might, depending on the total number of non-Indian registrations on 21 September, be extended by another week.
3. 10 spots will be reserved as wild cards for special late registrations, e.g. by former world champions or certain other exceptional athletes.
4. IMPORTANT: If a participant plans to get more than 3,500 points and/or to break a world record, they have to take part digitally on site, with the IAM software (requires a laptop) for all 10 disciplines. Total scores that are done on paper and exceed 3,500 points will be capped off at 3,500. World records made on paper will not count. It is highly recommended to familiarize oneself with the IAM software (
