Join us for Skagit County’s second annual Fall Clothing Swap, hosted by the Solid Waste Division! Back by popular demand, this free community event encourages sustainable fashion and raises awareness about the growing problem of textile waste.
Each year, Americans discard over 11 million tons of clothing and textiles—most of which could be reused or recycled. Textile waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the world, filling landfills and putting a strain on natural resources. By swapping instead of shopping, you're helping extend the life of garments, reduce waste, conserve resources, and support a circular economy.
Bring clean, gently used clothing you're ready to part with and trade them for items others no longer need. It’s a fun, budget-friendly way to refresh your wardrobe and build community around sustainable living.
Let’s give clothes a second life—and give our planet a break.
