Step into the captivating world of model railways with the Cairns Model Railway Club and experience the art of model train building. Here’s what’s on track:
✨ Test Your Train Driving Skills
Drive a mini locomotive, pick up wagons, and see how well you can handle the tracks!
✨ Drive the Layout
Kids can take the controls of two interactive train layouts and get a taste of life as a real train engineer.
✨ Design Your Own Steam Train
Decorate a wooden steam train cutout to take home as a creative keepsake.
✨ Create a Mini Shipping Container
Design and decorate your own miniature container—then watch it travel around the model railway!
✨ Train Puzzles
Solve fun, train-themed puzzles during the workshop—or take them home for later.
This free, hands-on workshop is perfect for kids of all ages, with plenty of creativity, exploration, and fun. Proudly presented by the volunteers of the Cairns Model Railway Club.
