WE LOVE A CREATIVE CHALLENGE...DO YOU?
We cannot wait to hold our first ever installment of the wild and crazy 24HR MUSICAL THEATRE PROJECT JR- to challenge ourselves and see what can be achieved under the wire over a single weekend.
The concept is simple - we audition, cast, gather production staff and crew - all without telling anyone what show they're in; then during the first day of rehearsal we go straight into 24 adrenaline-fueled hours of rehearsal before the curtain. The performance is an intense experience, unpredictable and exhilarating for both the company and the audience. The project aims to connect people from different companies with different skills and experiences, and help to build our community by working on an ambitious and creative challenge together.
The cast and production team will arrive without the slightest idea of the show they are about to embark on, and over 2 days (24 hours total), they rehearse, tech and perform a musical for a live audience! (NO... We will NOT be spending the full night at the school!!!)
Dates: JULY 31 and AUGUST 1, 2025!
Performance: AUGUST 1, 2025 at 7PM
THE 24HR MUSICAL PROJECT JR is held at Mount Savage Middle School, and is sponsored by the Mount Savage Community School Program. This production is great for all levels of experience and is open to anyone between the ages of 6-18, regardless of school affiliation. While we will hold an online "audition" to help us cast the show, every person interested in participating will be accepted.
The cost for participation in the program is $24 per student, and will be collected on the first (and only) day of rehearsals. WE DO HAVE LIMITED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE THE PARTICIPATION FEE, PLEASE REACH OUT TO US!!!
