Mornington Peninsula Shire's Reconciliation Week Community Event

Mornington Peninsula Shire invites you to come and celebrate Reconciliation Week by attending this FREE event.

Experience a Welcome to Country, a Smoking Ceremony and a 2 hour interactive Cultural Awareness Training Session delivered by Jillian West and Alexandra Prouse proud Bunurong women from Point Nepean and Palawa from the islands of Bass Strait.

This workshop is designed to deepen understanding of the historical and ongoing challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Participants will gain insights into past policies and practices and their enduring impacts on Indigenous cultures, communities, and traditions.

Light refreshments will be provided. However, if you have any specific requirements feel free to bring along a small snack.
