Kinzua Bridge State Park & Skywalk Showcase

Discover one of Pennsylvania’s most iconic and awe-inspiring destinations—Kinzua Bridge State Park, home to the breathtaking Kinzua Sky Walk at the Showcase event. Once the world’s tallest and longest railroad viaduct, the Showcase event will feature great views, self guiding exhibits, scavenger hunt in the park and “Tales of the Tornado” in-depth look at the collapse of the Kinzua Viaduct. Trail Central will be there distributing the new McKean County Museum Trail Passports, stickers and giveaways from their prize vault.

Once the world’s tallest and longest railroad viaduct, the original Kinzua Bridge was partially destroyed by a tornado in 2003. Today, six of the original towering steel support towers have been transformed into a dramatic pedestrian walkway stretching 624 feet across the Kinzua Gorge. At 225 feet high and offering sweeping views of the Allegheny Plateau, the Sky Walk is a one-of-a-kind adventure where you can quite literally walk the tracks across the sky from August to October.

You are invited to discover McKean County, PA’s rich history and heritage along PA Trail Central’s McKean County Museum Trail, featuring seven unique museums, each offering a glimpse into the Allegheny National Forest Region’s vibrant past. Trail Central is celebrating McKean County Museum Trail as part of the National Travel & Tourism Week with Museum Week, May 4-10.
