Join celebrated South Australian artist Margaret Worth and Riddoch Curator Chris Clements in conversation in the exhibition, ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ด๐ต ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฆ, ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ด๐ต ๐๐ฐ๐ธ. In this discussion, Worth will focus on her painting So Many Raindrops (2007) and explore both the materiality and the ideas that underpin her interest in water in the Limestone Coast region.
Margaret Worth is an award winning South Australian based artist and designer best known for her pioneering work in the fields of abstraction and environmental art. Worth studied at the South Australian School of Art in the 1960s before completing a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University in New York in the 1980s. Her work is also influenced by her earlier tertiary studies in music, physics, mathematics, psychology and philosophy. Worthโs work is represented in national and state art collections as well as the Riddoch collection. Her work is housed in private collections in both Australia and the United States of America.
This is a unique opportunity to engage directly with the artist and gain deeper insight into her practice.
๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ด๐ต ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฆ, ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ด๐ต ๐๐ฐ๐ธ draws from the collections of The Riddoch Arts and Cultural Centre and the National Gallery of Australia and is supported by MM Electrical Merchandising through the National Gallery of Australiaโs Regional Initiatives Program.
