On Friday, 9th May our Year 3 to Year 12 students will come together for our annual College Cross Country Carnival.
WHEN: Friday, 9th May 2025
WHERE: Calvary Secondary Oval and Bush Block and Bayswater Road footpath.
TIME: 9:00 – 11:00am.
WEAR: House colour shirt, runners and college hat.
BRING: Clearly labelled water bottle.
COURSE: There are two options on the day - a competitive cross country race or a fun run.
CROSS COUNTRY AGE GROUPS & DISTANCES:
8–9 year boys and girls - 1km
10-year boys and girls - 2km
11–13 year boys and girls - 3km
14 year boys and girls - 4km
15 year boys and girls - 4km
16 year boys - 6km
16 year girls - 4km
Open boys - 6km
Open girls - 4km
FUN RUN
All other students will be participating in the Secondary Fun Run along a 1km circuit which will be divided into two categories.
Category One: Team Event
Students are invited to form a team within their House Family (minimum of 4 members) and come dressed in a team uniform which conforms to the College free dress code standards (see the Free Dress Standards below). All team members must cross the finish line together if they are to claim their House points. An extra 10 points will be awarded to the most original/best dressed team at the start of the event.
Category Two: House Mascot
Individuals are invited to carry a (light-weight) mascot in their House colours around the course. They must cross the line with their mascot intact to receive their House points.
Spectators are welcome on the day.

DON'T FORGET OUR FUN RUN FUNDRAISER (YEAR 3 TO YEAR 6 STUDENTS):
All students in Year 3 to 6 have received a Sponsorship Form to assist you to create your child's own on-line account and to collect sponsors on behalf of the school. Activate your online fundraising at www.schoolfunrun.com.au Click on the Calvary Christian College – Prep – Year 6 event. Online fundraising closes on Friday, 16th May 2025. All funds raised will go towards resources for Calvary HPE and Sports program and a portion going towards Calvary OSHC.
