Creative Writing: Letting Nature Prompt You

Get in touch with your inner creativity, inspired by the natural beauty of Castle in the Clouds! Ever let nature soothe you, inform, prompt, even consume you for a half hour or an hour? In this workshop, you can do just that. We will use directed prompts, journal writing, and poetry to help us experience the natural world and its gifts. We will spend our time walking slowly, sitting in stillness, and stopping at special sights that call to you along the Brook Trail.

This workshop involves moderate hiking. No writing experience is necessary, but a willingness to play and explore is. Please bring a small notepad and pencil or cell phone that records, dress for the weather, and wear appropriate footwear. You might consider bringing a hat, bug repellent, and a small cushion to sit on.
