The water towers run is back! This year we are changing up the format again and it will be a gift exchange water tower run. Each participant will bring a gift to exchange at each water tower they run to. After they return to the start of the race they can open their gift!
The details:
The race (or more like community run) will start and end at Moscow's Friendship Square, right by the water fountain and next to Hyper-Spud's. We will start at 8:30AM on Saturday Dec. 13, 2025. Each runner will run to the water towers of Moscow in any order they like, carrying their gift, and when they feel like they are done, they can return to the start. At each tower there will be a holiday stocking that you will exchange your gift with, then you run to the next tower and exchange gifts again, and repeat until you have run to every tower (about 8 miles total) or you feel like you are done. Just to be clear, you exchange with the stocking that is hanging up at each tower not with a person that might be there. Each stocking will start off with a gift, so the first person to a tower will be able to exchange. You don't have to run to every tower, but you can to maximize your gift exchanges. Once back at Friendship Square, you can open you gift to see what you got!
The gifts:
Please bring a gender neutral gift that is wrapped and can easily be run with in hands or placed in a running pack. Ideas might include but aren't limited to running type gear, clothing items, games, treats and sweets, and I am sure many other ideas.
Incidentals:
The weather obviously could be a factor, please dress appropriately for any weather type.
We will have several extra gifts at the start, so if you want to participate and would like to use one of the extra gifts please feel free to do so. I would ask that you contact the either myself Justin or Nicole to let us know so we have the appropriate number of gifts
