This lecture-workshop reframes “the work” through assemblage and multiplicity. Drawing on Logic of Experimentation and case studies (RaschX [Schumann], NietzscheN, unfolding waves [Luigi Nono], Diabelli Machines [Beethoven & more]), this session will show how artistic research has the capacity to compose with heterogeneous forces. We’ll discuss participant projects to test assemblage as a practical method for making—and unmaking—sonic events.
