CLASS DESCRIPTION:
This class offers a choice of patterns and materials to create a glass project of your choice. You will learn how to cut glass, copper foil, solder, and hang your project.
Glass and use of tools using the copper foil method of construction are included in the class. You will leave with a completed piece of art, ready to hang and appropriate for indoor or outdoor display. Please note: if you would like to create wind chimes with wooden elements, please bring some branches or driftwood with you to class.
Lunch is available from local businesses. This class will be downstairs in our wonderful classroom and involve a great deal of standing; you should be able to stand for the better part of the day.
This class is appropriate for participants 14 years of age and older.
LIST OF MATERIALS/SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
* Safety glasses
* Apron, crew neck shirt, long sleeve shirt, or old work shirt,
* Closed toed, comfortable shoes,
* Face mask,
* Hair tie to secure long hair
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Deborah Wogan has been a stained glass artist for 45 years; designing and creating traditional & non-traditional custom stained glass art, as well as fused glass art and dichroic glass jewelry.
