Morristown Parks and Recreation and 423 Fest Announce "Back to School Bash"
Morristown Parks and Recreation, in partnership with 423 Fest, is excited to announce a "Back to School Bash" to help students prepare for the upcoming academic year. The event will take place on Friday, July 18, at 6:00 PM at Fred Miller Park.
The "Back to School Bash" aims to provide essential school supplies to students of all ages. Attendees can pick up notebooks, pencils, backpacks, and more, ensuring they have the tools they need for a successful school year. TN Roots Pop-Up Market will also be on-site with additional school-related items available for purchase.
In addition to the supply giveaway, the event will feature Jolly Jeeps and various games set up around Fred Miller Park for family fun. Delicious concessions will be available for purchase from Snowie of Lakeway and T Dogs.
As dusk settles, the evening will culminate with a special Starlite Cinema presentation of Disney and Pixar's "Inside Out 2." This highly anticipated film continues the story of Riley Andersen as she navigates the challenges of entering high school.
The movie explores Riley's emotional landscape as her original emotions—Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger—grapple with the arrival of four new emotions: Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment, and Ennui. Audiences will follow Riley's journey as she tries out for her new high school's ice hockey team, the Fire Hawks, all while her emotions adjust to a rapidly changing world.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and enjoy the movie under the stars. The film will begin at dusk.
