Homegrown Healthy program

Are you thinking of growing a garden this year? Are you looking for more gardening ideas? We will show you how to plan and grow a garden and be healthy during this 10-week program starting on Thursday, May 29, 2025. There will be no class on June 19 or during the week of the 4th of July. Classes will be held at the Morrison Hospital Community Garden, 618 Portland Ave. (French Creek Park) Grab a lawn chair and come out for this educational program held at the Community Garden located at the south entrance into Morrison on highway 78. In case of inclement weather we will hold the class in the Morrison Hospital Conference room.

You will learn how to grow a garden, get an introduction to hydroponics, which is growing plants without soil using a nutrient-rich water solution, and try foods made with garden produce. This program series is free, and you must commit to all sessions. We invite families and individuals to this free series. Registration is required.
