Elizabeth Nields Art Opening

Join us at The Gatehouse as we celebrate the opening of our December art feature with Elizabeth Nields, a master potter whose work spans decades of exploration in form, texture, and storytelling.

Her work reflects both ancient inspiration and modern imagination — from delicate vessels to monumental sculptures, each piece carries a sense of history and place. The Gatehouse will feature a collection of her functional and sculptural ceramics, including bowls, plates, mugs, and Raku vases.

Elizabeth’s artistic roots trace back to her apprentice days at Baldwin Pottery in New York City and studies at several renowned institutions, culminating in a B.A. cum laude from Radcliffe College. Since 1974, she has led clay workshops from her own studio, fostering a creative community of artists and collaborators.
