Family activity: bats and creatures of the night

Ever wondered what animals are out and about in the dark at Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre?

Then join us to explore Hauxley Nature Reserve after hours, hoping to detect bats and other creatures active at night. Keep your eyes peeled as we walk around the reserve with bat detectors, learning about these night time creatures.

All equipment provided - just bring yourself! Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear as this event will take place outside. Sorry no dogs allowed at Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre.

Age 8+. All children to be accompanied by an adult.

This activity is funded by the UK Government partly through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the North East Combined Authority Investment Fund with the North East Combined Authority as the lead authority.
