Demystifying hip and pelvis tightness and pain
As instructors, we sometimes work with clients who have experienced ongoing tightness and pain around the hip and pelvis which has not responded over time to stretching or release work. Typically, for example, in our Pilates programming we tend to focus on glute strengthening including external rotators, hip abductors and hip extensors, but how does this impact the hip joint as a whole?
During this interactive workshop we provide insight into possible causes together with practical and tailored repertoire to integrate into clients’ Pilates programs to alleviate hip and pelvis tightness and pain.
The delivery involves a combination of both theory and practical demonstrations integrating participants practical application of a variety of release, stretching and strengthening experiences.
