Our comedy night returns to Morley, bringing the best and the brightest acts to the fabulous Halfway House.
Our headline act is the fabulous Jake Donaldson. Jake is a rising star of the UK comedy circuit, known for his sharp wit, intelligent humour, and warm storytelling. He was a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Award 2024 (broadcast on BBC1), and a semi-finalist in British Comedian of the Year 2024.
Our opening act is Alfie Carter. Alfie is an act on the rise with a knack for spritely zaniness and authentic chaos. And it's not gone unnoticed, after just 3 years on the circuit, he has already garnered renowned acclaim as having a "Wondrous Imagination and Funny Bones" (Paul Foot) and simply being "Really F*cking Funny" (Adam Rowe, as mentioned on Have a Word). Shortlisted BBC New Comedy Award 2022.
In the middle we have Louis Etienne. A reassuring stage-presence, Louis likes to tell clever jokes about taboo topics. Nothing is off-limits. ‘He has the swagger of an experienced act who is confident in his abilities, and he’s right in this’ - Notts Comedy Review.
Hosted by our very own Graeme Rayner - "Rayner has the perfect balance as a host: keeping the show moving, throwing out his own funnies, and taking the mick out of anyone who dares to heckle." - On: Yorkshire Magazine
