The 2025 Morgantown City Election takes place on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. The polls will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
Registered voters within Morgantown city limits are encouraged to vote. Monday, April 7, 2025 will be the final day for voter registration before the election.
Early voting will take place from April 16 to April 26, 2025 at the Historic Depot Building at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park (185 Garrett Street, Morgantown WV). The building will be open for early voting from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
On the ballot in 2025:
- City council representatives for wards 2, 4, and 6
- An ordinance creating a new article of City Code entitled "Camping on Public Property"
- An ordinance amending the City Charter to modify City Manager residency requirements
Polling places are based on a resident's precinct, not by ward. You can see your precinct on your Voter Registration Card. If you need help finding your precinct, call the City Clerk's office at 304-284-7434.
