Morganton, NC - Greenway Walk

The Morganton, NC Greenway walk is back! Not all sections are available, but what is, plus adding a part of the greenway we've never done, we can get a 7+KM walk in. The walk will start in the parking lot by Town Tavern at 315 Sanford Dr. We will meet at 9:00 for registration with step off at 9:30.

The event is a pleasant walk along the Catawba River with its rapids, smooth flowing areas, grassy areas with Frisbee Golf Course and shaded walkways. We will also pass the recent, as of July 21, portion of the greenway with its pavilions and sports areas. The course is flat and paved so rated 1A.

Direction: Take I-40 to Exit 103 and turn right on US 64 to intersection with US 70. Left on US 70/64 and follow to intersection with Business 70. Continue straight on US 64 to Town Tavern on the left.
