Book Discussion & Signing with Marvin Bartlett, June 24

Get in the spirit of Kentucky conversation on Tuesday, June 24 at 5:00 p.m. with Marvin Bartlett, current anchor and managing editor for WDKY (FOX 56) in Lexington, Kentucky and author of Spirit of the Bluegrass. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and Marvin will be signing at the end of the event. (If you can't make it to the event, you can purchase a copy in advance, and a bookseller would be happy to have one signed for you!)

For 35 years, Emmy award-winning television journalist Marvin Bartlett has traveled the state, collecting stories that define the "Spirit of the Bluegrass." If a story is odd, inspirational, educational, or nearly unbelievable, it is a perfect fit for the feature segments prepared for broadcast in Kentucky from border to border. Travel with Marvin to soak up that spirit found in people, places and things that are unique to the Bluegrass State.

Marvin Bartlett has worked in television news since 1985. The “Spirit of the Bluegrass” franchise is entirely produced by Bartlett. He is the videographer, reporter, writer, and editor of the segments, a true “one-man band.” He is the author of The Boy Who Delivered Joy (Gatekeeper Press, 2019), a true story about an extraordinary young cancer patient he met while on the job.
