Calling all young writers ages 13–17 in Rowan County and beyond!
Join us at the Rowan County Arts Center on Monday, September 9th from 4:30–5:30 PM for an info session introducing Bloodroot Writer’s Collective — a brand-new, first-of-its-kind literary arts program for youth in our region.
Rooted in the traditions of Appalachian storytelling and inspired by the resilience of wildflowers like bloodroot and ginseng, this year-round collective will offer monthly writing sessions, peer critique, public performance opportunities, and mentorship from established Appalachian authors.
Whether you're an aspiring novelist, poet, essayist, or simply curious about creative writing — this is a space to grow your voice, connect with others, and express yourself in a meaningful way.
