We are so proud to bring you the Volunteer Achievement Awards 2025, celebrating the 20th year since its launch in 2005! Over the last two decades, thousands of people have been recognised for their contributions in making our communities stronger and in making so many lives better and we are delighted to be continuing with this legacy.
You can now nominate your volunteers for this year's Awards and build on this 20 year legacy. The event will take place at 5.30pm on Friday 6th June, at The Strathmore Hotel in Morecambe, a stunning venue overlooking the Bay. We are very hopeful for some wonderful weather!
Nominate your volunteers
We are delighted to be able to add two new award categories this year - making 8 in total! They are:
* Volunteer of the Year
* Young Volunteer of the Year
* Trustee of the Year
* Fundraiser of the Year
* Lifetime Achievement Award
* The Roger Sherlock Memorial Community Inspiration of the Year Award
* Environment Hero of the Year (New)
* Wellbeing Champion of the Year (New)
We appreciate not everyone will want to nominate a volunteer, but you may want to recognise individuals or groups for all of their hard work. If you don't want to nominate an individual volunteer you can also request a Certificate of Recognition instead, and these certificates are also available for groups of volunteers. Only people volunteering in Lancaster district are eligible for these Awards and certificates.
Get Involved
Nominate: You can find full details of the Awards and guidance on making a nomination either in the attached pack, or by visiting our website at:
https://lancastercvs.org.uk/volunteer-achievement-awards-2025/.
We really encourage you to consult the guidance because it will give you an idea of the kinds of information that our independent panel will be looking for when deciding the winners in each category.
Book your tickets: You can also book tickets for the event. If you are nominating someone for a specific award we encourage you to book them a ticket so that they can attend, and let them know that they've been nominated! You can book tickets here:
https://www.trybooking.com/uk/EQNU
Please don't book any more than four tickets for your organisation, as we would like to welcome as many people from as many different groups as possible.
Whether or not you can attend, we would love for you to nominate your volunteers, either to receive certificates of recognition or for a specific award or awards (you can nominate someone for multiple awards!).
We love knowing about the amazing work that volunteers are doing and the lives that they are changing for the better, so please do share their stories and help us, or join us, to celebrate them in June.
If you have any questions about the Awards please don't hesitate to call on 01525 555900 or email
