Since Von Holten Ranch is a century farm ranch that has been in the same family since 1906, we understand tough times and strive to be affordable. The tickets to the expo are $35 for a single day and $60 for the two day package.

The Ranch won the title of Missouri's Best Ranch for 2024 & 2025.
Von Holten Ranch is an actual working ranch that also works in agritourism. The facility has miles of trails, a year round flowing creek, livestock, campgrounds, covered arena, heated and air conditioned guest shower house, cabins, and an event venue.
What makes the Country Tough Homesteading Expo so great is that the ranch is opening its gates to show people how to do homesteading stills in-person. We are looking for presenters and vendors from all over the US. Von Holten Ranch/Country Tough Homesteading is centrally located in the US and in Pettis County where the MO State Fair is located just 20 minutes from the ranch in the town of Sedalia. Sedalia has lodging for thousands, restaurants, and camping available.
You will be able to see all the pieces of the working homestead in action.
Von Holten Ranch has plans to host everything under the sun that you can think of for homesteading in small classroom settings throughout the year. They are bringing in guest instructors from all over to help you learn in an authentic learning environment. Those classes are also available on our homesteading website of www.countrytoughhomesteading.com
