Soroptimist International of Simi Valley is proud to present the Fred & Debbie Thomas Legacy Award: Woman of the Year, recognizing an extraordinary woman whose unwavering dedication to nonprofit or charitable work has left an indelible mark on our community.
This prestigious award celebrates a woman who embodies compassion, leadership, and a lifelong commitment to service—carrying forward the legacy of Fred and Debbie Thomas by inspiring hope and creating meaningful change.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Actively involved with a nonprofit organization or charitable effort in Simi Valley
• Resides in Simi Valley or Moorpark
• Not a current active member of Soroptimist International of Simi Valley
• Recognized for charitable and nonprofit involvement beyond employment roles
Award Honors Include:
• Presentation of an elegant crystal award
’• A $2,000 unrestricted honorarium
• Complimentary tickets for the recipient and a guest to attend the 10th Annual Little Black Dress Gala, where she will be formally recognized before community and civic leaders
• Special feature in the gala program and commemorative materials
Nomination Process:
Nominations are open now through July 31st. The honoree will be surprised with an in-person presentation in August and formally honored at our Little Black Dress Gala on September 18th.
