FHF Umpiring Clinic

Join us for an in-depth FHF Umpiring Clinic led by internationally certified umpire Llew Soine, recognized by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). This clinic is ideal for new, developing, and experienced umpires seeking to elevate their officiating skills and receive official ratings for upcoming seasons.

• Instruction by an FIH-Certified Umpire: Llew Soine brings elite-level knowledge and hands-on experience from the international field hockey stage.
• Classroom & On-Field Training: The clinic includes rule interpretations, positioning, communication techniques, signaling, and game management strategies.
• Video Analysis: Learn through real-game footage and situational breakdowns.
• Live Game Assessment (if applicable): Participants may have the chance to officiate live games with feedback provided on performance.

Upon completion of the clinic:

• Participants will be evaluated and assigned a rating based on performance and understanding of the material.
• Ratings will determine eligibility to officiate during:
• • FHF Fall League
  • FHF Spring League
  • Local and regional FHF tournaments

This rating system ensures fair, consistent, and skill-appropriate umpire assignments throughout the FHF calendar.
