Following the success of the Mid-Year Singing Showcase, we've moved in a different direction from previous UCANDANCE end of year concerts. This year we've gone with the option to showcase the singing separately from the dancing.
This means that vocal students now have the opportunity for more stage time - should they accept it - and an ample opportunity for friends, parents & grandparents to support their enjoyment of music.
We'll be seeing multiple performances from most students, including group numbers and duets, featuring students from UCANDANCE, Stevie Renee & Steph Durden.
So, you're invited to bring hydration and a snack, take a seat and support students as they experience the stage and the glamorous life of a performer.

Frequently asked questions:
What do performers wear?
Student performers are encouraged to wear items from their own wardrobe that boost their confidence and make them feel comfortable. There is no dressing too casual or too formal - just whatever makes them feel a million bucks! Please no UCANDANCE uniforms.
When are performers required?
If performers can arrive at 5pm, we can do a group vocal warm up and get ourselves in the right head space for a great night of singing!
Can performers watch the show?
Yes! Students can sit with their families during the show. A stage manager will collect them before their allotted time so that they can be ready side stage, then they may re-join their families after their performance. Please be mindful not to disturb other students during their performance.
Do student performers also need a ticket?
No, performers don't require a ticket. We'll have named 'reserved' signs at the door for you to collect when you purchase your ticket, and you can then save their seat near your own.
When will the dress rehearsal be?
No dress rehearsal is necessary. There are no lighting queues to work through, nor a full-company finale to rehearse.
Is there a group finale?
No, we'll not be performing a group finale together.
Is there a theme?
As this is separate from the UCANDANCE concert, there is no theme.
How and when can I purchase a ticket?
Tickets can be purchased at the door on the night with either cash or card. You can RSVP in a reply to this email or via the facebook event. Proceeds will go towards covering costs and providing further performance opportunities.
Where do I park?
There is limited parking in front and around the Mooroopna Hall, but there is also free parking available in the median strip on McLennan Street.
When will classes run until?
There will be no classes on the day of this event, however the following week will continue as normal before we finish for the term on the 27th of November.
