Join the Friends of the Moorhead Library for an unforgettable evening of storytelling, local flavors and community at Rustica. Celebrate the power of libraries and literacy with William Kent Krueger, acclaimed author of the Cork O’Connor mystery series and This Tender Land, in an intimate evening of conversation and inspiration. Adding a hint of local flavor, attendees will enjoy a silent auction featuring FM chefs and eateries curated by celebrated local chef Andrea Baumgardner.
The event will feature Apostle's Cove, Krueger's latest book (release date: September 2, 2025), among his other titles. A book signing will follow with a pre-sale option available.
The fundraiser will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, August 28 at Rustica Eatery and Tavern. Hearty appetizers, desserts and one drink are included with each ticket, all crafted and served in the warm atmosphere of Rustica. Limited tickets are available at $125/ticket and can be purchased at friendsofthemoorheadlibrary.org.

This fundraising event will benefit the new Moorhead Public Library, which will open Spring 2026 in a new facility named The Loop (450 Center Ave. in downtown Moorhead). The Loop will house the library’s collection, resources and services alongside additional amenities such as an indoor walking track, playground and resource center for entrepreneurs called the Spark Center.
