Gait Analysis + Training Workshop
Join us for an in-depth workshop designed for healthcare professionals focusing on gait analysis and intervention strategies. This hands-on session will equip you with the skills to assess and treat gait abnormalities, particularly in neurological and disability populations. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, you will learn to identify deviations from normal gait patterns, understand the underlying neurological impairments, and develop effective treatment plans.
Learning Objectives:
This workshop promises to be an engaging and informative session for Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Specialists and Allied Health/Healthcare Professionals working with neurological and disability populations. This workshop will provide you with the tools and knowledge to improve your clinical practice in gait analysis and intervention. We look forward to your participation!
ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Louise Condon is a dedicated physiotherapist with a strong passion for exercise in neurological conditions and helping individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals. Originally from Ireland, Louise graduated with an honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Limerick. She then moved to London, where she gained invaluable experience in the NHS across a range of specialties before focusing on neuro. In November 2023, Louise relocated to Sydney.
With extensive experience working with a wide range of neurological conditions, including brain and spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, and other neurodegenerative disorders, Louise has developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges these conditions present. She works collaboratively with patients to optimize their rehabilitation and functional outcomes, tailoring evidence-based interventions to each individual's needs.
Louise strongly believes in the power of exercise for individuals with neurological conditions. She is committed to the idea that every individual, regardless of their condition or physical limitations, can benefit from tailored exercise programs that promote strength, mobility, and overall well-being. Louise advocates for the importance of staying active as a key component of rehabilitation, empowering her patients to engage in physical activity to maximize their quality of life. Her approach encourages patients to push beyond perceived limitations and move in whatever way they can.
Dedicated to staying current with the latest research, Louise is committed to further expanding her knowledge and treatment techniques. She is equally passionate about teaching and supporting the learning and development of students and junior therapists, with a particular interest in management and mentorship.
