▶️ 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦:

Mental, emotional, and relational health are important and growing issues in our community. Statistics from NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) show that 1 in 5 adults and 1 in 6 youth ages 6-17 experience mental illness each year. NAMI calculates that this means 592,000 adults in Oklahoma have a mental health condition, and that 58,000 young Oklahomans between age 12 and age 17 have depression.

Promoting mental, emotional, and relational health touches every Oklahoman. Understanding mental and emotional health helps promote our own health and well being-- but not only that. The more we understand what research tells us about supporting mental and emotional health, the more we are equipped to serve our friends, family, neighbors, and community. Without this understanding, we may miss opportunities to care for each other, both inside and outside the church.
