Learn about the history of Westmoreland State Park as one of the original six Virginia State Parks and dive into the rich history of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) legacy.

During the Great Depression members of the Civilian Conservation Corps worked to restore the land and build parks across the country. The new deal aimed to conserve natural resources and salvage the nations young men. Learn about what life was like for the boys that were a part of the CCC and their lasting impact here at Westmoreland State Park.
