Pottery Class - Wheel Throwing Pottery Sessions

A regular weekly class with a wheel each for the entire lesson. NOTE this class is not for total beginners but if you have completed the beginners 4 week block of classes or have other equivalent experience then this is perfect for you to come and develop your thrown pottery technique.

NOTE : The individual cost per class is reduced the more you book at once (4-7 weekly classes = 5% discount; 8+ = 10% discount) automatically applied at checkout. This applies to weekly Wednesday/Thursday classes only.

This will be a small class of up to 5 students, for those following on from a beginners class or brushing up on and improving technique, each class will begin with a demonstration and you'll be guided at the level that suits you. You will have a wheel each for the for the whole class.

The class will start with preparation of the clay for throwing, cutting, weighing and wedging. At each session we can work on throwing, turning, adding handles if required and glazing can be done at this class or at an alternative specific glazing class. All materials and firing are included in the cost of your booking.

You can choose to attend any number of sessions, but we recommend at least a couple so that you can throw and turn your pots, improving your throwing is all about regular practice so the more the better and a regular weekly class is what will develop your technique best so coming for a few weeks, months or even years it's up to you!
