Want to Legally Carry your handgun in New Jersey?
This class is for NY State Pistol Permit holders who want to apply for a New Jersey Non-Resident Carry Permit.
✅ Course Info:
Cost: $195 (with 9mm ammo provided) or $180 (bring your own 50 rounds of 9x19)
Eligibility: You must have a valid NYS Pistol Permit to attend
Includes: Safety lecture, shooting fundamentals, and NJ-specific law overview
(No written test required)
🔫 Live Fire Qualification:
To pass, you must:
Handle your firearm safely at all times
Follow all range commands
Shoot 80% or better (40 out of 50 hits) on an FBI Q target:
10 rounds (2 strings of 5) at each distance: 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15 yards
Demonstrate proper draw, reloads, malfunction clearing, and reholstering
No coaching will be given during the qualification.
⚠️ This is a "Go/No Go" test—unsafe handling or failure to meet the marksmanship standard will result in disqualification. No second chances.
🧰 What You’ll Need:
50 rounds of 9mm ammo
Eye & ear protection
Rigid holster (molded, IWB acceptable if it doesn't collapse)
2 spare mags (5 is best)
Magazine carriers
Pants with belt loops & sturdy belt
Appropriate footwear (no flip-flops)

This qualification is more demanding than NY’s. If you’re unsure about your skills, we strongly recommend additional training first. We offer prep classes to get you ready.
