We are delighted to present a return visit to Montrose by Kirsten Adamson and the Tanagers, who are touring in October to promote their new third Album, entitled ” Dreamviewer “, recorded at Karma Studio in London with award-winning producer, Joe Harvey-Whyte.
Singer Songwriter, Kirsten Adamson ( daughter of Rock legend, Stuart Adamson, of Big Country and the Skids fame ), summons the same heart-stopping purity as Sandy Denny, by way of Emmylou Harris and Kate Bush. Since spending summers, soaking up the atmosphere in Nashville with her Dad, and singing on Big Country’s ” Driving to Damascus ” album, Kirsten Adamson has steadily developed her own voice and songwriting, with Indie Folkers, Aberfeldy, Country Rockers, the Gillyflowers, and Americana duo, ” The Marriage “.
Kirsten’s second Album, ” Landing Place “, from 2023, is a glorious powerhouse of emotionally charged, beautifully delivered songs, that glistens with echoes of folk rock and country gems. One of the tracks, ” My Father’s Songs “, was recently nominated for an Americana UK Award for UK Song of the Year.
