This is a welcome return appearance for Acoustic Music at Montrose Playhouse by ” Local Hero “, and outstanding Singer Songwriter, Adam Ross, originally from Nairn, but now living in St. Cyrus, just outside Montrose.
Adam Ross has led the Cult Indie band, Randolph’s Leap, for over a decade, releasing a number of Albums on King Creosote and Pictish Trail’s Fence Records and Lost Map Records. Having issued his debut solo Album, ” Staring at Mountains ” in 2022, Adam is known for his intricate, storytelling lyrical style, which often blends humour and poignancy.
In 2024, Adam Ross released a second solo Album, which was long-listed for the Scottish Album of the Year Award; released on London label, Fika Records, the Album was produced by multiple Scottish Album of the Year nominated composer and multi-instrumentaist, Andrew Wasylyk.
On this occasion, Adam Ross will be playing at Montrose Playhouse in Trio format, along with his long-standing bandmates, Gillian Fleetwood, on harp and backing vocals, and Pedro Cameroon, aka Man of the Minch, on fiddle and backing vocals, with Adam himself on guitar and lead vocals.
